Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Laboratory Technician at Genomic Prediction. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures, documenting results, and maintaining quality control. This position requires some weekend work. Attention to detail is paramount. The role also has opportunities for growth in clinical laboratory roles as well as research and advanced education.

Responsibilities include

  • Receiving, storing and processing samples
  • Accession samples as they are received and store under proper conditions until processing starts
  • Perform inventory, receive and store laboratory supplies
  • Follow all laboratory SOPs, checklists and manufacturer manual
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Maintain compliance with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations

Qualifications

  • Laboratory Skills and Laboratory Equipment experience
  • Quality Control and Analytical Skills
  • Experience as a Laboratory Technician
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques and laboratory automation a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, Biotechnology or related field
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques and laboratory automation a plus
  • Knowledge of IVF procedures and embryonic development a plus

Role Description

As a Patient and Client Experience Advocate, you will be the face of Genomic Prediction. You will be a liaison between IVF Clinics/Patients and our Laboratory, Genetic Counselors and Bioinformatics Team. This full time position requires on-site training and collaboration. This individual must be an overachiever, ready and willing to manage designated IVF Clients and eager to play a crucial role in the overall patient experience.

Responsibilities include

  • Practice and be mindful of HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
  • Assist with patient and clinic inquiries received via phone and/or email.
  • Liaise with clinics as their main point of contact to process patient test orders.
  • Create and register patient cases in the GP clinical portal according to test requisitions and sample submission forms.
  • Manage clinic accounts by maintaining a current book of business, including contact information, reporting structure and collections.
  • Assist Genetic Counselors with scheduling counseling sessions, organizing/obtaining genetic reports and/or other inquiries.
  • Confidently communicate with patients to obtain informed consent, and provide case updates when necessary.
  • Track case progress and turn around times and follow up on cases quickly approaching lead time.
  • Participate in orientation calls with newly onboarded clinics to review tests offered and GP policies and procedures.
